چکیده

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role MDCT in detecting and predicting blunt bowel mesenteric injuries. Materials methods: This is a retrospective observational 66 patients (54 males, 12 females, average age 45.5 years) who underwent laparotomy at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital between April 2020 August 2021 with diagnosis and/or injuries abdominal trauma. All these had contrast-enhanced prior surgery. CT findings were documented calculated for their diagnostic performance compared surgical outcomes. Results: most common finding infiltration (75.8%), followed by wall thickening (63.6%). Bowel discontinuity highest specificity positive predictive value 100%. sensitive signs free air 81.6%, 79.7%. hypoenhancement vessel abnormalities 92.3% 98.1%, respectively. thickening, hypoenhancement, abnormalities, strongest association injury requiring surgery (OR = 5.7, 51, 68 14.4, respectively). Conclusion: multi-detector computed tomography provides high-specificity important indicating necessitating Key words: injury, gastrointestinal tract trauma, tomography.

A comparative evaluation of cone-beam computed tomography and multi-slice computed tomography in the diagnosis of sheep mandibular bone defect: an in vitro study

Introduction: Diagnosis of lesions and bone defects is very important and there is a lack of substantial studies on the most appropriate method for bone defect measurement. Hence, the aim of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT) and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in the diagnosis of mandibular bone defects present in sheep. Material & Methods: T...
